Nestled at the foot of the Sella mountain range at an altitude of 1600 metres lies the Italian ski resort of Arabba with its Ladin language and culture. Its close proximity to the famous Sella Ronda Ski Circuit with its magnificent ski trails, gives skiers in this area the chance to ski in four different mountain ranges, Sella, Gardena, Campalogno and the Pordoi.

Arabba ski holidays offers visitors a good variety of skiing at all levels with nursery slopes for beginners and ski runs leading back to the village with a total of 52 kms of downhill skiing. There is plenty to keep the intermediate amused, but Arabba is mostly noted for its challenging slopes for expert skiers and snowboarders. Here you will find exceptional steep runs together with good snow coverage and direct access to the Marmolada Glacier. There is also a Ski Kindergarden which gives children under eight a free ski pass. In addition children can have individual or group tuition with a discount on ski rental. Heliskiing at this resort is also the best to be found in the Alps.

About the village

Arabba is a small charming village with a selection of bars and restaurants. Accommodation is Arabba is built in a traditional Tyrolean style to match the style of the village. You can book a hotel in Arabba or rent a self catering apartment or chalet. There are a number of good bars and restaurants in Arabba offering a choice of traditional or modern Italian food. Don't expect the apres ski facilities to rock although there are a handful of hotels and bars that offer a lively atmosphere and a party mood. Shopping here is a great way of learning more about the Ladin culture with a wealth of specialist shops selling localised products and artisan and craft shops with friendly, helpful staff.
